- Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit Goes On Display In Minn. (WCCO Minneapolis - St. Paul) 13 March 2010Back in 1947, a Bedouin shepherd was searching for a lost goat in the hills by the Dead Sea. He threw a rock into a cave, perhaps to startle out an animal, and heard the sound of breaking pottery. When he entered the cave, he found 10 ceramic jars and a treasure -- a collection of ancient Jewish manuscripts dating to the time of Jesus.
